YOUR HOME ORGANIZER TO AGE IN PLACE

Make Your Forever Home Work For Your Needs

A major aspect of aging in place is the feeling of being at home. Home provides us with a familiar and comfortable atmosphere that is greater than just a place – it is a feeling of stability.

In order to safely and comfortably stay in your own home for the later years of your life, you need to organize your home to be more functional and accessible. Getting organized has both mental and physical advantages to healthy aging. An organized home is connected to increased mental clarity as it lowers the risk of injury and decreases stress levels.

To thrive in your own space, it is important to be proactive in making your home free of clutter, comfortable, and safe for the years ahead!

Instead of waiting until your health and physical abilities are impaired, getting organized can smooth life’s transition into older age. Make the process simple with help from Clutter Corrections in establishing a plan that allows you to have better access, safety and comfort in your own home.

Aging in place is an excellent choice with thoughtful planning and organization. Let Clutter Corrections be your partner in transforming your space into your forever home.

AGING IN PLACE ORGANIZING FAQS

How long will the process take?
It depends on how long it takes for decisions to be made about the importance and usage of items you want to keep and identify the items you are ready to place in storage or let go.

What do we do with all this stuff?
The things you do not want to keep can be sold, donated, and disposed of (if unwanted or worn out).

Does organization reduce stress?
Yes, it is like being able to breathe freely again after a terrible chest cold. Your mind clears and can think about those things that are truly important.

I have heirlooms, should I keep them for my children?
You can keep them for children or other family members. It would be a good idea to have a conversation with members of your family or close friends now. Share your wishes with everyone and give the heirlooms away sooner than later.

What papers should I keep?
We recommend keeping important legal documents such as wills, trusts, power of attorney documents and birth/death certificates. We also recommend keeping financial documents that might be needed for tax purposes. All these items should be kept in a safe, fire-proof location in your home or a safety deposit box.

Home & Home Office Organizing

Home is where the heart is, but it’s also where we keep most of our belongings, and these can accumulate to create an unsightly, unusable mess. Let Clutter
Corrections work on the problem, transforming your space and lifting a weight off your shoulders.
